From Yuma desert to Michigan forest
OK. So I’ve been MIA for a few but let me take another sip of hazelnut and tell the tale of what we’ve been up to the last couple weeks. First a friend had started a new studio here in Michigan and I got a call for an emergency meeting. The meeting was to entice myself and CDI to step in and run a production. We basically had to squeeze 4 weeks of pre-prod into two weeks but we got right to work and turned it around. The film is called SILVER LAKE and is a horror/thriller. I’m producing with Dean Teaster and Anthony Hornus and this new relationship between two Michigan companies could very well be the foundation for a slate of films.
Wild Michigan will be making some new casting announcements by the end of the year and that project which I truly love we likely go before the camera fall 2011. Filming now in the fall I truly see that as the season to capture that beauty that is uniquely Michigan.
In other news I just returned from a whirlwind trip to Yuma, AZ to see the premiere of RENOVATION. Old friends like Terry Knox and Lana Wood were there as well as a slew of my new amigos. They did a huge outdoor event with Yuma style BBQ, music and outdoor showing under a nearly full moon. Needless to say it was great and so a big thank you to Charles the other producer and the city of Yuma. More showings will be scheduled in the near future.
Now I’m back in Michigan as of midnight and I’m in the production office prepping again. I will be giving updates to all of you out there very soon. CDI’s site http://www.cdiproductions.com will also be having some updated info on the SILVER LAKE and RENOVATION projects very soon. I also know many of you out there are very eager to hear updates on LOCKED IN A ROOM. So once I have something on that front I will also be getting that info out to you.
So it is back to the coffee pot for a refill and back to work. But I wanted to check in with all of you out there and again thank you for your continued interest and support. One foot in front of the other and distant dreams and goals get closer and closer.
