One of the Best Compliments Ever – And CDI Film Updates

I’m up on a sunny Michigan morning and sipping my hazelnut coffee. Fall is in full effect and I’m loving it. We wrapped filming on “Devil’s Pass” our recent western and I’m happy to say things went smooth. Only a few bumps with most being a few spots of rain but in many cases it added to the mood of the moment. I’m always hesitant about collaborations because the wrong one can lead to much strife between parties. I’ve got 30+ year into my relationship with the McGraws and so that was predictable and smooth. I was not the screenwriter on this film and we worked with two companies out of GA and I really connected with these owners. We shared many of the same creative and business views. It was more involved the management of this film because I wanted to make sure everyone knew why we did certain things. I recall the first day of pre-production asking the barriers between cast and crew at the base camp dining area be removed. I understand first through the food line if there is a reason due to crew needing to pre-light a set or whatnot. But eating segregated is not something I ever agreed with and so we’ve eliminated that at CDI since the early days. The idea of this is what the big studios do gets an “I don’t care this is CDI” response from me. Over the years I’ve had several things brought to my attention that we do differently. As an actor on visiting sets I saw things I agreed with or did not agree with and it allowed me to customize a company that is exactly how I like it. Most of those changes are about unity and inclusion before these were buzz words. We have diversity without trying because we pull from a collective base of artists. All we ask for the short run is to put the story first. It is also a company where you can get true opportunities in this business. I always say, who you know may get you a first opportunity but your efforts get you rehired. We had so many wonderful artists and some were stepping up into 1st key positions for the first time. What I love about this film is the overwhelming positive attitudes we had on set. There were tense moments where a piece of wardrobe ripped or a horse that might not have cooperated in the moment but with grace all issues were dealt with quickly and professionally. I think this crew was just incredible and I see a strengthening of our infrastructure that will carry us forward.

Casting was a long process but was well thought out right down to the featured players. As CDI is ran by actor/producers it is one area we take very serious. A talented and on-point cast will not only bring elevated performances but will help you make your day. Weather, horses and odd variables can drag you back time wise but when the actors were on things moved just swell. A film will truly live or die by the performances. To have strong heroes you need strong villains. We had strength across the board bringing the roles to life. I’m proud to say that I got to play one of the most unique roles to life in my career. Both the character and how the character interacted throughout the film. As a supervising producer I often like to put a little distance between myself and production and observe. I look for issues or elements of production that can be streamlined or improved upon. This distance plays into my character ‘McBride’ save one character whom I was very much in their personal space. In THE QUEST TRILOGY I got to write a role akin to mine in “Devil’s Pass” for others. Those others being Joe Cipriano, Tamour Ghazi and Rance Howard playing the devil. I would suggest going to watch FORTY NIGHTS, CHASING THE STAR and THE CHRIST SLAYER. I play a very challenging role in 2 of those 3 films. I loved the role of ‘McBride’ and I’m so curious to see how it manifests on screen. But I enjoyed seeing many actors I’ve watched over the years create marvelous characters do it once again. In some cases they took it all to new heights and it was awesome to see. On day four our directors put together a highlight reel so that everyone could see just what we were creating. And it was…amazing.

We enjoy bringing legends into our fold and allow them to play and perform in new and challenging ways. Several can make a living just engaging with the fans of their previous roles they made famous. But to allow them to create anew is a special thing. Darby Hinton is a great example of someone who even later in his career is actually challenging himself more and more. He found fame early on the Daniel Boone TV show and survived into adulthood. I think he is starting to create some of his best work as he opens to the opportunities that challenge him. Butch Patrick (Eddie from The Munsters) was also a child actor who has carries on with creating new roles but also cherishes the one that put him on the map. I’m a huge fan of the show with Herman and Grandpa among my favorite “buddies” in a show. Butch had great stories of this time and also gave us something comedic and special and I believe we will all work together again one day soon. But I was very impressed by Mitch Vogel a Golden Globe Nominee from co-starring with Steve McQueen and the last surviving principal actor from Bonanza the last two seasons. I’m not sure he was aware of it but he gave me one of the greatest compliments. We were in wardrobe preparing and he told me that all this (the production) was impressive and so well ran. He said that the last time he felt such a family like vibe on a set was on Bonanza and not since. This was an outside opinion and not something I asked for. But I will say that it really made me feel like a million dollars. There are things in our business that money cannot buy. I work every day to try and get to larger budgets to benefit the artists that work so hard. But we still run things as professional and prepared as possible and that doesn’t just happen. HARD WORK makes that happen. So I will cherish those words always from someone who has been there and done that. Thank you Mitch and I know we will work together again. Thank you for coming out of retirement for this film and I’m so thrilled you felt it was a good choice to do so.

Before getting into the wonderful updates I will say that the CDI tribe lost two past members in one day. Dennis Haskins best known for SAVED BY THE BELL passed away. He was a dramatic powerhouse in AN ORDINARY KILLER the true life crime drama we released in 2002. You can watch it now streaming. I met Dennis on set of TANGY GUACAMOLE a crazy Spring Break romp in 2000. We also attended several events in Las Vegas and Dennis was Mister Vegas knowing everyone in that town. I will cherish the times. At the end of the day I heard that David G. Smith “Smitty” our DP and editor on FROM VENUS had passed away. He struggled with health problems the last few years but I will always remember the long rendering times working in his basement studio. “It is what it is” was his favorite saying and he was a jolly soul who LOVED movies and music. Their journey has come to an end and so we push on. I create for all those whose journey has ended. RIP to all my artist friends.

EXCITING FILM UPDATES- Now onto some more upbeat updates!

  1. October is spooky month and my first feature starring role as Alex Kerwood, monster hunter has been going strong since 1999 when it released. Hollywood Video, Blockbuster and dozens of countries. The film was mastered to Blu Ray last year with the classic cut and a new director’s cut. That new cut is going to be playing several night shows at the Spectacle Theater in Brooklyn NY. Sat Oct 10th at midnight! Oct 12th at 10 pm, Oct 20th at 7:30 pm and Oct 28th at 10pm! Look up http://www.spectacletheater.com for more details. The film has never been released streaming and we will be setting that up for 2027!
  2. 2026 and I’ve finally done another film in the comedy/horror genre ROM COMS MUST DIE. On 10/2/26 is began streaming and is for sale on DVD. It showcases the frustrations of artists worldwide and comedically goes to the Nth degree. I love my co-star Adam Towner in this film. A humorous person in real life and a winner of several comedic shorts this was a chance to see how he played in a feature length film and it works. The supporting cast works on every level and I personally LOVE Melissa Anschutz and Dean Teaster as the ROM COM stars kidnapped in this film. Both are amazing actors and they once again show why they are great. It is now on Amazon Prime and appearing on more and more streaming platforms. If you watch it and like it please leave a review on Amazon Prime and/or our IMDB page. It is closer to R rated vs PG 13 for language and mild violence. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I think many will get a few great laughs and relate to the frustrations of Amos and Clem. I see already some SUCKER MC gave us (1’s) where you can vote. Even if not your cup of tea the film is not a one. I would bet that the rating came from an artist which is the funny irony of it all. Millions watch our films and never review and vote so I’m not sweating a few rocks thrown. You just best hope Amos and Clem don’t come knocking and send you to the pigs. So give it a fair shake and let us know what you thought. Even a video review would be fun. Do you blog, podcast or whatnot- give us a shout. WATCH IT HERE: https://www.amazon.com/Rom-Coms-Must-Travis-Hayward/dp/B0H9CNXQ6B/ref=sr_1_3?crid=8M50EWYTF7UA&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.8dwmiRr6bKlk4mL0ZRtVHw7yFF38HqBoX2sob9TcijHrfbPfQokstPOAbQ4ZRltkd9g-ekVn1uknyGmDAAtoqssEnxLTxnCZkxokU5tzQlHBdOzU_mDEfqRYDbHg58aijtc1qJRNZEe_qewKd2i8t4tddd39DMQ5I7GnPxmgLFrYWKBvuhOwkltgoltMGa-UGTDojJ4S6QmHQw9Z3QWGVOr4yFyujFblzRwacsW440s.9h5GKlFXmlb5soZyo7JYgPtSvMNrkY858Kp9XzH6KXU&dib_tag=se&keywords=Rom+Coms+Must+Die&qid=1791121997&sprefix=rom+coms+must+die%2Caps%2C139&sr=8-3
  3. AI JESUS: The Secret of the Kingdom Chip – The PR will start on this film as it releases to DVD and streaming on October 30th, 2026. This film centers on the highly discussed topic of AI. This film was inspired by true events and I added a SciFi spin to it. Strangely the spin might not be too far off and I think this film will have folks talking. PRO AI, CON AI, this film will question it all and do some with a good comedic element to it. At the same time it examines spirituality and technology coming together. Watch Amazon for DVD pre-orders and follow our FB page just like all our films.
  4. On 11/3/26 the wait is OVER! WILD FAITH CHRISTMAS the follow up to the hit WILD FAITH releases on DVD and streaming. Upward of 30 million have seen the first film and the follow up as been long awaited. We made a run at the TV series but the potential funding came with strings attached that I could not live with so we did a second feature. The TV series has been updated to take place after the 2nd film and we’ll see – but I’m well into a 3rd feature film so even if the TV series doesn’t launch the franchise will go on! But I think audiences will really love this story and the Christmas angle is so beautiful.
  5. As the holidays approach THE QUEST TRILOGY, LOST HEART, SILENT NIGHT IN ALGONA and all the CDI films are there for you as the cold arrives and a good story is what you need. I’ve had several random encounters with folks who tried telling me I should “check out” this film or that film only to find out that is OUR film. I had someone recently telling me how much they loved this bootlegger film HARSENS ISLAND REVENGE only to discover they were talking to Axel. Or most recently a billing person telling me about a great western WILD FAITH only to realize Ben Lily was standing in front of them. I had to show a picture to convince them. I love the way our films are finding their way into the public pop culture.

DEVELOPMENT – When I was in the heat of battle on the last film I did not like looking too far ahead but now the dust is settling and I’m getting back into development. I’m examining a great comedic who done it film that we’ve almost done twice but had fully funded projects bump it. Also RETURN TO ALGONA the follow up to SILENT NIGHT IN ALGONA has a good amount of funding committed and I will look to put the final pieces in place. I will finish WILD FAITH 3 and MBF2 this winter which will allow me to project budgets. I will also be developing a mutual slate with our new GA partners after a very successful “Devil’s Pass” shoot. We have several other projects looking to put solid pieces into place. I even had a very productive talk recently with a friend and major player in the Las Vegas film scene Jaki Baskow. Many doors of opportunity to explore and the key is to follow the proper order of business. I will say that ANGEL STUDIOS beat me to the HERSHEYS story I wanted to tell. It looks like they did a great job and I cannot wait to see it. They were our product partners on our WW2 drama.

WRAP UP – I just freshened up my coffee as this blog has been a touch longer but had more to say. I talked about the wonderful adventure our cast and crew had filming “Devil’s Pass” and it will always be uniquely ours. The beautiful compliment that made my heart soar. The new releases and the new development. This end of year will be pushing these films out while prepping for 2027. End of October I will travel with some of the CDI team to Oklahoma to receive the Will Rogers awards for screenplay, producing and production company. We will have end of year disbursements to investors and also the year’s end wrap up that should be easier due to the holding co our legal and accounting team helped to put into place.

I’m working on getting the property cleaned up before winter arrives. I harvested all the herbs save the mint which may happen today. I’ve got most all the production gear stowed save a few creates I will pick up this week during an interview at the historic village in Corunna, MI. I’ve dealt with a few personal and family situations that are part of life. I’m looking forward to the holidays and catching my breath from a wild year. I’m going to bring it to an end here until next week when we chat. Thank you all for showing up each week. That goes for all the artists around the world. Coffee Cheers! DJ

UNPACKING THE CIRCUS! THAT’S A PICTURE WRAP

MY JEEP WAS PACKED TO THE MAX FROM OUR ‘DEVIL’S PASS’ ADVENTURE

I’ve landed back home and I’m sipping the java as I sit down to a bunch of mail that I need to process. For those that did not know I’ve just returned from filming DEVIL’S PASS. What an adventure that was. It was such a pleasure to work with everyone but it started with Dan and Eydie Searles. I loved getting to know them both and Florentino who were our EP’s and Dan Searles was the screenwriter. We put the business foundation in the project and we added the McGraw brothers. I knew they had been seeking the right project to tackle together and this project checked the boxes. Months of meetings with them to work the cast that ended up on camera. And what a cast we had. It was truly amazing to experience all the performances. Got to meet many new friends on both sides of the camera. From a Steve McQueen co-star to TV legends and everything in between. The crew was dedicated and hard working from the road closure PA’s and craft services to the masterful men and women who lit and captured the scenes. My art department was top notch with David LeRoux as our builder and armor and TJ “Mister T” our art director. I could rave on and on about our cast and crew. The early days we had to work through some occasional weather challenges and we did. I like to judge a crew about how they react to something that doesn’t go as planned or is/was unexpected. And they reacted perfect to each and every challenge and we were awarded with amazing footage. Find and follow the ‘Devil’s Pass’ page on Facebook. You can follow all the film pages for updates.

I’m looking at my untouched suitcase and the ‘McBride’ tote that needs to be unpacked. I’ve got all the props here and trying to get them restocked. Some CDI period wardrobe will land later today along with some office gear. It will take me a week to get everything processed and reported. Many artists after a film wraps goes through a deceleration sickness going from 60 people a day plus to – a few. Each adventure is unique and the chemistry will never be repeated. DEVIL’S PASS is in the books and it is going to become a wonderful story of good versus evil. I’m very pleased with everyone and what we did. It was an amazing adventure!

Let’s take a look at some of the completed films coming your way.

UPDATES:

  1. ROM COMS MUST DIE – This dark comedy is coming to audiences nationwide on Oct 2, 2026! This is a ludicrous tale that takes the frustrations of many artists and ramps it up to the Nth degree. Add the DVD to your collection and stream it!
  2. AI JESUS The Secret of the Kingdom Chip – As the world ponders the future of life as AI enters is examined in this tale part real event and part SciFi. But SciFi for how long? This movie looks at the good, bad and ugly of the emerging technology all wrapped in a humorous tale. It will release on 10/30/26 and I’m sure DVD’s will start pre-sales soon.
  3. And let us not forget the 11/3/26 release of WILD FAITH CHRISTMAS. The follow up feature film to WILD FAITH will stream and be released on DVD. If you loved the first one you will love the follow up. If you haven’t seen either watch the first one now and the second this November.
  4. We’ll be going end of October to the Will Rogers Awards to accept on behalf of Wild Faith Christmas for screenplay, producing and CDI as production.

DEVELOPMENT: This is always underway and I’ll turn my attention back to the future once I can get all caught up on the present tasks at hand. I’m excited to dive into writing and finish the few scripts currently underway. I’ll be looking ahead to production in 2027.

WRAP UP: Even as I type this the morning news has talked about the indiefilm revolution and the AI emergence and the love of true crime. We’ve done that genre as well with AN ORDINARY KILLER in 2002. I’m looking to promote and push all our releases coming to market. I’m going to get the property around for winter as the days get shorter and the cold slowly moves in. I hope the last few weeks have been good for all of you out there. I’ll have ‘end of year disbursements’ and tax prep coming up but I’ll be happy to enjoy the holiday season. We will get to watch all the world enjoy these new releases. At the same time we’ll be put DEVIL’S PASS together piece by piece.

I’m going to work on setting up my business here for the week ahead. A few eggs and a little more coffee to prep for another day of directing gear where it needs to go. I have some harvesting to do. The apples have been shipped by the squirrels and I’m good with that. The hops and herbs will need a harvesting in the coming days. A final mow perhaps but that did not get out of control. I wanted to again take the opportunity to thank all of you who have followed us for years and the stories we create. I’ll be keeping you all up to speed on here. I look forward to all of you responding to the stories as they release. You can comment here, IMDB and any review sites. I’m going to get settled back in and we’ll talk again next week. Thank you for stopping through for our coffee chat. Best- DJ Perry

EXPERIENCE OVER EGOS and OTHER CDI UPDATES!

A fine good morning to everyone out there. We are now into June and the heat and humidity has arrived. We had a soccer game last week in the heat and we lost but what a great workout. I was so tired after my soccer bag felt like a hundred pounds and I had to drink some pickle juice before my shower. I ordered some prescription sports googles so I can see better on the field. So now I will have the Kareem Abdul Jabbar look going on. My eye doctor also said that my eyes were having allergy issues so I got some drops. I’ve just been steadily adjusting to being a glasses wearer. I will ballergiese missing my Thursday soccer match which might have a rain out but I have a promo show for for ROM COMS MUST DIE on Thursday with Adam Towner. It is streaming live with a live audience so it should be quite enjoyable. This is my birthday month and so I’ve been reflective upon the journey thus far. Again I feel blessed to do what I love doing working in storytelling. Let’s look at some of the other recent updates.

UPDATES:

  1. ABOVE is the Thursday show that we will be doing. It looks like so much fun. TUNE in Live if you can and listen to us talk about films and making movies in Mid-Michigan for the world market. ROM COMS MUST DIE is an insanely fun ride from beginning to end. We are still trying to work both theatrical pop ups and brew N views.
  2. AI JESUS: The Secret of the Kingdom Chip had a final watch/listen through and now the end credits are finally done. We had an 11th hour add to the end credits that was almost forgotten by one of our keys. Missing name or mis-spelled is the most common and once you render and deliver that is what it is. Know if we’ve ever made a mistake it was never on purpose. We plan to have a great premiere for this film and we’ll see if Dreamscape Productions wants to partner with us on this title into theaters. This is a very unique and timely story ripped from news headlines and given a SciFi twist. This coming week I’ll be digitizing the wrap book and getting that uploaded to the distributor.
  3. WILD FAITH CHRISTMAS – We have a two punch coming up with the RED LETTER AWARDS and ten nominations in August. And in October we have the WILL ROGERS MEDALLION AWARDS to accept for screenplay and the film. We won either gold, silver or bronze. We are the underdog of sorts with both the other films having some amazing talent from C. Thomas Howell to Dennis Quaid, Mary McDonald, Tom Skerritt and Kurt Russell’s son Wyatt. I LOVE that our troupe is in such great company. I’m looking into using this win to try and connect with a literary agent. I had an agent at one of the big 3 agencies years ago but I’m looking at that once again. I love to write and so it might serve me well to have someone focused on work-for-hire or selling scripts I don’t plan to produce. They will be honoring others like Clint Black, Kevin Costner, Barry Corbin and more…
  4. DEVIL’S PASS is now in pre-production and we’re forming the production entity now. Next week we plan to start signing on our backers and getting the bank account open. Creatively it has been a wonderful process working with the writer and our directors. We have a walk through this coming week with our production designer. We also just dropped a casting call for three roles that can be found on the Devil’s Pass FB page. It also has the extras submission info but why not read for a role and see what happens. We will be doing some PR announcements soon including pulling BONANZA alumni Mitch Vogel out of retirement. I wish we could work with everyone but we too have limited resources referring to cast and crew. Many of our artists have to be local due to costs. But this September we will film this moody mid-western film. Darby Hinton from WILD FAITH is back as one of our leads. We have a few holes in oBonanzaur cast and crew that we’ve been interviewing and auditioning people for. We will also start talking to sponsors this week.

DEVELOPMENT:

We are making some moves to try and bring on the second part of funding on RETURN TO ALGONA the 1968 follow up film to SILENT NIGHT IN ALGONA. We have some great leads and interested parties. Preserving the history of this PW Camp and the Nativity Scene has been a wonderful process. My goal is to get the matching commits this year and film next year in Algona.

We also have a couple of film’s developing with Curran Jacobs who directed FOR THE LOVE OF CATCH. A slate of films with Katharsys Media and a handful of one offs trying to find the right backers. It is always a process of matching up the right variables to make a movie happen.

I’ve had another book sent to me to consider turning into a screenplay. I’ve been paid to do this several times and it is a process I do enjoy. It is different from an original screenplay but both have their fun aspects. As noted before, even projects with funding are strongly evaluated because the process is complicated and if you get the wrong pieces in play it can stop being fun really fast. Experience over egos is what is required to make these projects a success.

WRAP UP: I’ve been enjoying creating a new character for DEVIL’S PASS. I love working with the voice, motivations, wardrobe and even facial hair. As we cast folks each read of the script becomes more clear as you can imagine performances. Just like with the locations that add fuel to your imagination. So I’ll keep looking for those unique pieces.

I might have to put a mow on parts of the lawn today before the rain moves in this week. I did some grilling yesterday of some venison burgers and it feels great to have the grill operational again. We just had some eggs from our hens and that just really makes a morning.

This week I’m back to working on film disbursements and love how streamline it is becoming. I have my team to thank for that. The back end of the week is the production designer scout on Weds, the live show on Thursday and Friday a Devil’s Pass production meeting. I look forward to a great week and hope you all do as well. I’m going to close this up and go get my lawn things done before the heat kicks in. Coffee Cheers! DJ

Every Big Goal is Achieved By A Series of Smaller Goals! – CDI UPDATES!

Good morning everyone out there. I want to once again thank all the readers from around the world. I see a lot of friends from the asian territories stopping by, welcome! It is sunny today in the Michigan and actually we’ve had a great stretch of good warm weather. The world is popping with green and I love the morning birds including a few neighborhood roosters. Our chickens have been loving the warmth and we’ve getting about five eggs a day. I’ve been spending my afternoons doing improvements on the property in-between business calls. I put in a plank walkway going around the fort office from a home improvement article I saw. It came out looking really good. I’ve also been grinding up some brush from tree trims to mulch. Also the under deck area I’m organizing and planning my retaining wall. I love getting out into nature and working in the dirt. I’m trying to bring back my hops that were relocated when the new deck went in. I’ve enjoyed having my morning coffee on the deck and also doing some of my daily stretching. We lost our first soccer match 6-3 which should have been closer but sometimes the ball doesn’t bounce just right.

I’ve also been adjusting to wearing glasses and also cataracts which has one that is advanced enough that the clarity in that eye varies by light and other variables. I’ve been taking my glasses off for my above mentioned soccer matches but I’ve decided I need to get some prescription “rec specs” for playing soccer. Might get them with glare guard to help my game. I’ve now talked with several friends who have dealt with this and even had the corrective surgery. Getting older is a privilege but a challenge to deal with this and that. I think I’m going to get a larger computer monitor to help versus just my smallish lap top screen. I share these things so folks know that while life is great I too also have challenges. I was wishing an old business associate a happy birthday and discovered he passed away in 2023. Again enjoy the journey. I am on the cusp of my June birthday month and I’m content. Another trip around the sun almost complete. Enough of these things and onto the artistic updates.

UPDATES:

  1. We have a marketing meeting for WILD FAITH CHRISTMAS with our home video distributor this week. We will try to do a few more theatrical showings in the Fall before we release to rent/buy on 11/3/26. The film will be represented at the RED LETTER AWARDS in August. We still might have a festival or two still in us but we are excited to make the film available to the tens of millions who enjoyed the original WILD FAITH. Just on the distributors ETV (YOUTUBE) the film has about 50k views short of nine million. Across all platforms I’m at a loss to even wager a guess at the audience but I’m deeply appreciative.
  2. ROM COMS MUST DIE is almost all delivered to home video and so we’ll get our streaming/DVD dates soon. But we are going to be releasing into theaters all Summer and even doing some fun brew N views. This movie was very well received and I just need to try and plug into the horror/comedy audience that I once knew well. We are doing a great TV show interview on June 11th called The Baron & Sindee Nyte Show on Youtube livestream at 7pm EST. I will be on there with Adam Towner mu co-star. If you have a review site or podcast and would live to talk this film that makes fun of our beloved film industry, reach out.
  3. AI JESUS: The Secret of the Kingdom Chip – We gathered at the Pine Studio to watch and listen to the film with the first full pass on all music and sound design. The score is just great but with Dennis Therrian‘s work that surprises nobody. But also the sound design was so good. It brings you right into the scene and the score amps up your emotions. The performances were powerful across the board. And the subject matter is so thought provoking. AI is entering into all areas of life and this film will have discussions stimulated. It is a film for everyone as all perspectives are addressed. The scientific non-believers, priests, nuns and everything in between. Technology. Religion. Government transparency. It is all there. We will likely look to do a big premiere in the coming weeks. This could easily be director Anthony Hornus‘ crown gem. Follow the Facebook page for all the updates! All our films have FB pages to follow. You might want to go back and watch THE QUEST TRILOGY (Forty Nights, Chasing the Star and The Christ Slayer) just to give some background. This film loosely is a follow up but not part of the trilogy.
  4. DEVIL’S PASS is no longer in development but pre-production. This collaboration is a unique western. Traditional in the values with a unique twist. It will be captured in a kinetic high action way by the McGraw brothers directing. We had a great meeting over crew and cast. We are still filling in the blanks on both but the blanks are getting fewer by the week. WILD FAITH alumni Darby Hinton has joined the cast and we’ve even bringing one of the last main cast members from BONANZA out of retirement Golden Globe nominee Mitch Vogel. You can see all the additional cast and crew on the IMDB page. Again all the films have IMDB pages. We have a meeting this week which we’ll be announcing some casting and crewing needs soon. This is for locals in the mid Michigan area. CDI always works with sponsors and we’ll be getting that process going soon.

DEVELOPMENT: Development is always underway and on many fronts from Algona, Iowa to Kalamazoo, Michigan. With several directors and showcasing several stories in various genres. I have a few business plans to review. I also have a few meetings to collect feedback on with funding potential. We are working now to line up 2027 productions. I’m also going to return to script writing as I have a few in process. I took a meeting on another possible book to script endeavor but we will see if that advances or not. I will take this time to thank all our investors and sponsors who make these stories possible.

WRAP UP: I’m going to wind this down and go enjoy some more coffee with donuts. It is the Fullmoon which is when I allow myself to eat something unhealthy. Aside the from the 24 hours usually stretched over two days, I stick to almonds, berries and healthier snacks. But I do love donuts. Trivia: My favorite even while they are all good is the double chocolate. I hope you all have been enjoying the first half of your year. I hope you are meeting your goals and crossing off your TO DO’s. Every big goal is achieved by a series of smaller goals. So get after those goals and make those dreams happen. Until next week- coffee cheers!
